I was commissioned to create a branding and advertising campaign for Camden Black History Month which celebrated Nigeria's fifty years after Independence. The theme was based on 'Innercity Griots The Oral Tradition'.
A Griot is a West African poet praise singer, and wandering musician, considered a repository of oral tradition. The Black History season held events at the Wellcome Collection and the British Library and also introduced the musical FELA! amongst others where the artwork and marketing materials provided supported the events.
